Born March 13, 1932 in Farmington, IL to Charles and Mabel (nee Slack) Bennett, Marcia passed away peacefully at Fair Oaks Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the age of 84.
Marcia was united in marriage to Lewis Ratcliffe on October 23, 1955 in Canton, IL. She was employed first as a Real Estate Agent in Crystal Lake, but would retire from Medela Medical Supply. Marcia loved enjoying her birds and squirrels, her time spent at the land, reading a good book, but mostly she enjoyed the time spent with her family.
In addition to her loving husband Lewis of 60 years, she will be dearly missed by her children, Debi (Dean) Case, Jeff (Cheryl), and Jerry; her grandchildren, Erin, Kelli, Nicole, Robert, Jon, J’net, Hilary, Holly, Adam, and Ian; 8 great-grandchildren; former daughters-in-law, Kim and Tina; sister, Donna (Larry) DeGroot; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her nephews, Ronnie and Robbie DeGroot; and her great-grandson, Nicholas Benton.
The visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte.176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, September 24, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
