Marcy Ellen Browning

Marcy Ellen Browning, born July 2, 1968, passed from this earthly life on February 26, 2019.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Joan Browning, Crete, IL, Dorothy Browning, Island Lake, IL; step-mother, Susan Trempe, Lake Villa, IL; children: Josephine Troiani, Aurora, IL; Danielle McAllister and Riley Guibault, both of Island Lake, IL; siblings, Douglas Browning, Wauconda, IL, Becky (John) Cieslewicz, Walton Hills, OH, Steven (Patti) Browning, Island Lake, IL, Gary (Jen) Browning, Decatur, IL and Susan Browning, Lake Villa, IL.

Survivors also include many beloved nieces and nephews, many beloved great nieces, nephews and very special friends, Roger Gordon, Round Lake Beach, IL, Henry and Gay Schaff, Ingleside, IL and Miriam Moore, Cocoa, FL.

A 1986 graduate of Buffalo Grove High School she received her Associate Degree in Nursing with High Honors from Lincoln Land Community College in 1995. She was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received the LLCC Nursing Department Honors Award. She has been a Registered Nurse since July 1995. Her nursing career included many medical disciplines including Field Nurse in Home Health Care, Neurology, Endoscopy, Staff Nurse and most recently as Phone Triage Nurse with Northwest Community Healthcare.

Marcy loved life and serving others. Her many interests included scrapbooking, bicycling, hiking, and doing anything at all with her children and their friends. She was known as a “wet hair Mom” preferring to be active in water activities with her children instead of sitting on the sidelines reading a book. She was part of a hiking group and had the trail name of “Mud Mom”. She recently authored a published book “Better Days Are Coming”, sharing her battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 2012.

A frequent comment on her passing has been, “She Touched So Many People”.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McHenry VFW Post 4600, 3002 W, IL-120, McHenry, IL 60051.
