Margaret Cornell

Margaret L. Cornell, 94, died May 1, 2014 in hospice care at the home of her son, Stephen H. Cornell of Crystal Lake.

Mrs. Cornell was born December 27, 1919 in Peoria, IL to Harry and Margaret Krohn. She married Stephen H. Cornell, Sr. on March 16, 1940. He died in 1979.

She is survived by one son, Stephen, and his wife, Gloria; a sister, Lorraine of Peoria; four nieces; and three nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Cornell retired in 1983 after 30 years of service with Caterpillar Tractor Company at its Peoria headquarters.

Private memorial services will be held at Blue Lawn Cemetery in Chillicothe, IL.
