Margaret Ann (Sullivan) Durkin

Margaret Durkin, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Born March 24, 1943, in Chicago, she married John Durkin, on April 16, 1966, and had two children Maureen and Kevin.  She was a Chicago Public School Teacher and then Travel Agent for 30 years.  She was an avid Bridge and Tennis player and a member of St. Anne’s Women’s Club.

Survivors include her loving husband of more than 55 years, John Durkin; children Maureen (Tom) Fraser of Boulder, CO and Kevin (MaryBeth) Durkin of Inverness, IL; adored grandchildren, Mary Kathleen, Elizabeth Fraser and Michael Joseph Durkin; sister Maureen (Jack) Kelly, Wilmette, IL and brother, John Sullivan, Chicago.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary Sullivan.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10th, from 9:30am until the time of mass at 10:30am at St. Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington.  Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
