Margaret Froehlke

The Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret H. Froehlke (nee Green), 80, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 5, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St. (not Ela Rd.), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Celebrant will be Fr. Gregory Green, C.S.C. Burial will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

There will also be a visitation from 3-8 p.m., with Rosary service at 8 p.m., Sunday, January 4, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington.

Born February 24, 1934, in Chicago, she entered new life December 31, 2014, in Barrington.

Margaret was a member and Extraordinary Minister at St. Anne Catholic Church. She was an amazing cook and loved traveling on road trips to Maine or out West. Margaret was very devoted to her family and faith.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Donald A. Froehlke, whom she married on June 23, 1956, in St. Killian’s Catholic Church, Chicago; children, Dr. Robert (Margaret) of Denver, CO, Peter (Eileen) of Pittsburgh, PA, Donald (JoAnn) of Denver, CO, Paul (Agnes) of Tucson, AZ, and Gretchen Prebys of Naperville; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alex, Brennan, and Sarah Froehlke, Meaghan, Eileen (Neil Reece), Matthew, and Patrick Froehlke, Grace Froehlke, Marie and Gregory Froehlke, and Mary, Helen, Joseph, and Heidi Prebys; and brother, Fr. Gregory A. Green, C.S.C. of the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Albert L. and Helen V. (nee Sulaski) Green; and by son-in-law, Chris Prebys.
