Marguerite “Peggy” Hengels,71, of Crystal Lake, passed away on October 20, 2011 in Chicago.
She was born on May 31, 1940 in Berwyn, IL to Joseph and Marguerite Hengels.
Peggy was raised in LaGrange. She graduated from The Little Company of Mary School of Nursing in Evergreen Park and attained her bachelor’s degree from The College of St. Francis.
She worked as an RN at the Family Practice Center in LaGrange.
Her hobbies included , golfing, and reading, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Peggy is survived by her sisters Joan (Richard) Murphy and Terry (late Frank) Giocomelli, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Thomas B. Hengels.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12,2011, from 10:30am until the time of Memorial Mass at 11:30am, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake.
