Maria Postlethwait

Barrington, Illinois,Services for Maria Postlethwait, nee MacKenzie, 46, of Barrington, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, November 23 at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL 60010 where she will lie in state from 11:30 until the time of the service. Pastor Wally Marshall will officiate. Born July 31, 1963 in Gettysburg, PA, she entered into eternal life November 17, 2009. Burial will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. A mother of 3, she was involved with Grove Avenue School in Barrington and had clerked for an Illinois Supreme Court Justice. She was a member of Willow Creek Community Church, and was involved with Global Hospitality through the church. She was also an avid reader and writer. Survivors include her husband, Rich Postlethwait; children, John, Kelly and Emily; parents, Donald and Shirley MacKenzie; brothers Joseph (Sharon), Mark, and Donald (Lisa) MacKenzie; and many other relatives and friends.
