Marian Horsch

Marian Horsch, 89, of Crystal Lake, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at JourneyCare Hospice, Barrington.

She was born December 16, 1924, in Grantsburg, WI to the late Henry and Edna (nee Christiansen) Anderson.

Marian worked as a private secretary at an insurance company in downtown Chicago for many years. She had a great love of the outdoors—especially fishing and golfing—and spending holidays with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Conrad Kasprzyk; stepchildren, Steven (Nancy) Kasprzyk, Priscilla (Ken) Poczekaj, and C.J. (Mandy) Kasprzyk; Seven step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild; sister, Joyce Mellor; sister-in-law, Rae Anderson; and nieces and nephews, Vada (James) Kokenos, Ardel, Gary Anderson, Kathy (Larry), Anderson and Mike (Sandy) Mellor.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Horsch; siblings, Evangeline and Virgil Anderson; and brother-in-law, Edwin Mellor.

The visitation will be Saturday, February 8, from 12 noon until the time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
