Lake Barrington Shores,FARRELL The Funeral Service for Marie L. Farrell, nee Laws, 86, of Lake Barrington Shores, formerly a 40 year resident of Belvedere - Tiburon, Ca., will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, 7:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E Main Lake-Cook Rd, Barrington, where there will visitation from 3p.m. until the time of service. Reverend Don Wink will officiate. Interment will be private. Born Sept. 6, 1924 in San Diego, CA, she passed away November 19, 2010 in Barrington. Marie was the Executive Vice President for the American Institute of Architects in San Francisco for 30 plus years. She was a member of B.A.C.O.A., a volunteer at The Barrington Library, a member of Foreign Service, and an active bridge player at Lake Barrington Shores. She was also an avid traveler and knitter. Her most important role was being a loving mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for having a smile on her face and sharing a kind word with everyone she came in contact with. Marie is survived by her beloved son Michael (Aimee) Farrell, and cherished grandchildren Cassidy, Matthew, and Danny. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Farrell, her parents Thomas and Nancy Laws, and her sister Estelen Penhollow.
