Marie Fortuna

Marie Fortuna, 94, of Niles, recently of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on February 24, 1925 in Chicago to the late Anthony and Florence Stecca.

Marie was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Marie was a fabulous cook and always included her secret ingredient: Love. She enjoyed dancing, music and crafting.

Marie was the devoted wife of the late Sam Joseph Fortuna; loving mother of Vivian (Rudolph) DiTommaso, Joann (Louis) Daddono and the late Frank (Laura) Fortuna; cherished grandmother of Nina DiTommaso, Briana (Sal) Cardone, Alissa (Philip) Rieger, Christi (fiancé Pat Williams) Daddono, Lisa (Jon) Cavins, and Christina Fortuna; great-grandmother of, Mia, Guiliana, Giada, Milania, Gianluca, Lucca, Bianca, Colton and Scarlett; dear sister of Peter (Josephine) Stecca, Richard Stecca, and the late Victor Stecca; loving aunt to many.

Visitation will be Monday, April 22, 2019, from 3 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until prayers at 10:15 AM with a procession to follow to St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave., Chicago, IL for an 11:30 AM Mass. Burial to follow at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
