Marilyn H. Diederichsen (nee Heggeman), 82, of Barrington, passed away peacefully January 12, 2014.
Born on June 17, 1931 in St. Louis, Marilyn graduated from Washington University where she met her husband of 37 years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, having survived numerous corporate moves, and forming lasting friendships while always giving back to her community. As a very active contributor to St. Anne’s Church, she worked in several church ministries. She was also a passionate golfer at Biltmore Country Club. She cherished her family and friends dearly.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Valerie (Mark) Volz, Denise (Michael) Goss, Leslynn (Robert) Jaeckel and Sally (Timothy) Mauery; grandchildren, Mathew and Carly Volz, Madeline and Michael Goss, Grace, Kathryn and Caroline Mauery.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard Heggeman and Alice (nee Malone); her beloved husband, Mathew B. Diederichsen, Jr.; and brother, Bernard Heggeman, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St. (not Ela Rd), Barrington. Father Jack Dewes will officiate. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, 9-11 a.m., at the church.
