Marilyn Joyce (Albrecht) Gillespie
March 30, 1939 — December 10, 2017
Marilyn was born March 30, 1939 in Chicago to Lawrence and Ann (nee Minarvoics) Albrecht. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, December 10, 2017.
Marilyn loved spending time with family and friends and was loved by all.
Marilyn is survived by her children; Karen (Sam) Manfre, Michael (Shelly) Gillespie, John (Leah) Gillespie, Anne Marie (Scott) Lyngaas, and Tracy (Trey) Holcomb; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Schmidt; and brother Richard (Lisa) Albrecht.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John; and her parents.
Visitation will be 3pm-9pm Wednesday December 13 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, Thursday, December 14th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 10:30am, followed by a procession to the church. Interment will be private.
