Mario Paone, 91, of Algonquin, formerly of Huntley, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2020. He was born on February 15, 1928 in Italy to the late Francisco and Josephine Paone.
Mario served in the Italian Air Force and was discharged in 1950. On July 11, 1957 he was united in marriage to Mary Girardi in Italy. They celebrated 43 years of marriage until her passing in 2001.
Mario was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley and a member of the Italian-American Club. He enjoyed playing piano, swimming and cooking.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral mass will be Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 2 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd, Huntley, IL 60142. Visitation will start at 1 PM until the time of mass.
Entombment will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 14, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Please meet at the cemetery office.
