Marion Reher

Marion A. Reher (nee Ringler), 87, of Crystal Lake, formerly of Barrington and Chicago, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 25, 2014 in Crystal Pines Health Care Center, Crystal Lake.

She was born September 7, 1926 in Chicago to the late Frederick and Avis (nee Pinnard) Ringler.

Marion had a long career in banking, having worked in bookkeeping at Capital Bank and Albank in Chicago. She enjoyed building jig-saw puzzles, reading, and was especially fond of family pets.

Prior to moving to Crystal Lake, Marion lived at Greencastle of Barrington and was a volunteer and helped assemble mailings for Hospice of Northeastern Illinois (JourneyCare) and the Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA).

Survivors include her son, Ronald “Ron” (Reana) Reher of Crystal Lake; and grandson, Eric Reher of Deer Park.

The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, August 28 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake.

There will also be a visitation Friday, August 29 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marion’s name may be made to Lord and Savior Lutheran Church, 9300 Ridgefield Rd., Crystal Lake, IL 60012.
