Marion Vanicek

Marion E. Vanicek (nee Harrison), 87, of Crystal Lake and formerly of Media, PA, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 8, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of DeVon and Dorothy (Reid) Harrison. Gardening, reading, trips to Lake Geneva and especially spending time with her great grandchildren were some of her greatest enjoyments. She is survived by her beloved daughter Randee (William "Bill") Terrey; her dear son-in-law Charles "Chuck" Ivey; three cherished grandchildren, Denise (David) Bradstreet, Carolyn (Joseph) Lusby, and John (Trish) Ivey; eight loving great grandchildren and one treasured great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vanicek, her daughter, Lynne Ivey, and her brother, Robert Harrison. Services and interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
