Mark J. Adelizzi

Mark J. Adelizzi, of Island Lake, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 63.

He was born September 26, 1956 in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Joseph and Elaine Adelizzi.

Living life to the fullest, Mark had many hobbies and interests including jewelry making, hunting, drag racing, motorcycle riding, photography, playing the drums, and Facebook, to name a few.

After a 20-year career with Felpro, Mark started his own business in 1999, Flatout Gaskets, which became a fierce supplier in the drag racing industry.

Mark was loyal to helping anyone in need, but above all he treasured his family most.

Mark is survived by his siblings, Gary (Debbie) Adelizzi and Debra (Tom) Russo; nephews, Cody and Timothy Adelizzi and Nicholas and Danny Russo; and his beloved hunting canine companions, Angie and Junior.

A memorial service for Mark is planned for a later date on Lake Michigan where he found peace.
