Marlene Romozzi

The funeral Mass for Marlene T. Romozzi (nee Jablonski), 73, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 2 at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin St.), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Interment will be private. There will also be visitation from 3-9 p.m., Wednesday, December 1 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Born October 17, 1937 in Chicago, she passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at Pepper Family Hospice House in Barrington. She enjoyed spending time with and doing things for her family, friends, and neighbors. Marlene loved to polka, to travel, and had a hearty appetite for all that life offers.

Survivors include her daughter Debbie (Chet) Turcza of Palatine; grandchildren, Bri (Scott) Widler of Plainfield and Doug Turcza of Hollywood, CA; great-granddaughter, Kayla Widler; sisters, Bernadine Jablonski and Renetta Senese both of Chicago; niece, Kris Johnson of Oak Lawn; nephew, Terry Senese of Chicago; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Pat Jablonski, Mary Fricke and Marge Cherry; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and beloved friend, Dove Chapman of West Dundee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Sophie (nee Rudzinski) Jablonski; brothers, Frank, Eddie, and Rich Jablonski; and former husband, Henry Romozzi.
