Mary Burke

Lisle, Illinois,The funeral service for Mary Susan Burke (nee Gibson), 47, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 Hicks Rd., Palatine. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will also be held from 3-9 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Born March 5, 1964, in Norkopping, Sweden, Mary passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at her home. Mary enjoyed every moment working with her second family at Northwest Oral and Maxiofacial Surgery in Arlington Heights, where she had worked for 20 years as the office manager. Survivors include her husband, Jerry, whom she married August 24, 1996, at our Lady of Mount Carmel, Chicago; siblings, John Gibson of Barrington, Patty (Jon) Ralph of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and David (Kristyn) Gibson of Wilmette; nieces and nephews, Jessie and Jack Ralph, Caroline, Kathryn, and Matthew Gibson, and Victoria and Christina Burke; mother-in-law, Bridget Burke of Darien; brother-in-law, Donald (Bride) Burke of Clarendon Hills; and sister-in law, Colleen Burke of Darien. She was preceded in death by her parents, John "Jack" and Fanchon Gibson; and brother, Jeffrey Gibson.
