Mary Bernadette (Docherty) DeCourcey

Born October 23, 1923 in Scotland, Mary passed away peacefully September 24, 2019 in Palatine.  She is survived by her children, Patricia O’Connor and Kathleen DeCourcey; grandchildren, Eric (Patricia) Growney, Karen Carinci, Brian (Carrie) Growney, Aileen (Patrick) Stonelake, and Kristen (Will) Calvani; eleven great grandchildren; and brother, Joseph Docherty.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Mary Therese (John) Growney, eight siblings, and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27 from 4-9pm at St. Joseph’s Home at 80 W. Northwest Hwy in Palatine.  Mass will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 28th at St. Joseph’s Home.  There will be visitation for one hour prior to mass.  Burial will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
