Mary Evans

Mary Kay Evans (nee Stapleton), 64, of Crystal Lake at rest May 24, 2015. Wife of Dave Evans; daughter of Jack and Jane; mother of Erica and Tommy; step-mother of David Evans (Judy), Renee Boyle (Gregory) and Nicole DeMarco (Paul); proud sister of four brothers, John (Sue), Bill (Jayne), Larry (Mary) and Tom (Barb); step-grandmother of Rebecca Evans, Claire, Grace Boyle, Lucia and Florence DeMarco; step-great-grandmother to two; and fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Kay will be remembered by all as someone who devoted herself to her daughter and provided her with unconditional love until the time of her passing. She adored the meaning of family and will never be forgotten by anyone who had the privilege to meet her.

She was a graduate of Sienna High School and Northeastern Illinois University. Her artistic talents were represented in her natural ability to decorate and accessorize her home. She was previously employed by the Circuit Court of Cook County for 17 years.

Her memorial visitation will begin at 11am followed by the memorial service at 12pm, Saturday, July 11, at Davenport Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Kay may be made to The Neurofibromatosis Foundation, 213 S. Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187, in the name of Erica Evans.
