Mary Kane

Mary Margaret Kane (nee Lupton), 74, of Arlington Heights, passed away on February 3, 2025. She was born in Evanston, IL on March 2, 1950 to William and Margaret Lupton. 

Mary lived a life filled with love, offering kindness and smiles wherever she was. Mary was a wonderful person who worked at Northwest Community Hospital for over 30 years. She volunteered as a religious education teacher, on the Patton School PTO, and as an Arlington Heights Park District youth soccer coach. She was the kindest person and loved to bake, scrapbook, and make gifts for her family. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her six grandchildren - from them on her "spooky walks" when they were little to playing games and dancing with them as they got older. 

Mary is survived by her loving husband Jim Kane, their three children, Shannon (Brian), Bridget (Brian), and Jamie; grandchildren, Jack, Maggie, Brynn, Hayden, Maddux, and Raina; siblings Pat (Marty), and Laura (John); many sisters and brothers in law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

 A visitation will be held Saturday February 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Mass will follow at 11:00 At Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 135 S Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
