Mary Koelling

February 19, 1967 — October 11, 2013

Mary Elizabeth McKoane Koelling passed away suddenly during a business trip in Dallas, Texas on October 11, 2013, at the age of 46. She was a lifelong Barrington resident, a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Executive Vice President of Operations at Practical Communications, and a tireless volunteer for many local organizations. A graduate of Elgin Academy and Boston College, Mary Beth was an accomplished skier, and loved tennis, golf, fitness, her family and friends.

She was married to David, the love of her life, and they were inseparable. Her sons, Danny and Ryan Ingram, and her stepchildren, Jessen and Jorie Koelling gave her constant joy. She was a proud and devoted mother; Mary Beth's family was the center of her universe. As busy as she was raising four children and working full time, Mary Beth always made time for her friends and extended family. She was loved by all who knew her, and highly respected in her business.

In addition to her husband and children, Mary Beth is survived by her parents, Michael and Madeline McKoane, her in laws, Herb and Carroll Koelling, her sister, Melanie Flynn (Kevin), her brothers, Mike and Matt McKoane, her brothers in law, Peter (Demetria) Koelling, Ken (Linda)Koelling, her nieces, Katie Stahl, Gen and Katie Flynn, Dallas, Danielle, Carroll, Kimberly and Cameron Koelling, her nephews, Chris and Tim Stahl, and Scott Koelling, as well as her cousins, aunt, and many friends.

A celebration of Mary Beth's life will be held on October 15 at 3:00pm, St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Avenue, Barrington. Interment is private. Memorial donations may be made to Barrington Youth Services, 110 S. Hager Avenue, Barrington, IL 60093.
