Mary L. Larsen (nee Goetze), 81, of Barrington passed away peacefully on November 9, 2015. She was born on June 26, 1934 in Jackson, MI.

Mary was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School and Michigan State University in June 1956 with a BA in Retailing. She worked from 1986-1992 in the family business, True-Line Mold & Engineering, and most recently for Stonington Associates Ltd.

A member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Mary served on the Alter Guild, and was a former member of the Barrington Junior Women’s Club. For 25 years she was involved as a board member and volunteer with Good Shepherd Hospital Auxiliary and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis L. Larsen, whom she married Sept 8, 1956, in Jackson, MI; daughter, Karen (Timothy) Mead; daughter-in-law, Laura Halicke; grandchildren, Shadrick Mead, Anya Gonzalez, Nadya (Jason) Richmond, Alicia (Kevin) Bigelow, Ronnie and Corey Halicke; great-grandchildren, Romeo, Daria, Jaylen, Milania and Drake.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory and parents, William and Bertha (Empkie) Goetze.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov 12, from 3-8 pm, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Ave, Barrington, where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday, Nov 13. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Stonington, MI.
