Mary Lou Lelivelt

Mary Lou Lelivelt, 98, passed away peacefully January 27, 2024 in Crystal Lake.  She was born January 24, 1926 in Maywood IL to Joseph and Susan Lelivelt.

Mary Lou is survived by her brother-in-law Herbert (late Lorraine) Drews; nephews, Joseph (Linda) Drews, and Stephen (Paula) Drews; great niece, Kali Drews (Tom Stolley); and great nephews, Nathan and Tyler Drews. Mary Lou was also a cherished cousin to the Redpath family of Riverside.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Lelivelt, and Lorraine Drews; nephews, Herbert and David Drews; and great niece, Amy Drews.

MaryLou worked decades in the insurance industry, for Banker’s Life and later State Farm .  She loved family gatherings and supporting her sisters in their endeavors and with their children.  She was a massive sports fan, especially following the Bulls in the Michael Jordan years, and the Bears, whenever and however they played.

Committal services will be at 11am Wednesday January 31 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 1185 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.
