The memorial visitation for Mary A. McQueen (nee Williams),83, formerly of Prospect Heights, will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 31,2012, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.  Inurnment will be private.

Born May 28,1928, in Connersville, IN, to the late Jack and Helen (nee Moon), Williams, she died Wednesday, March 28,2012, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights.

Mary was an Elvis lover, adventurer, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and “ma” to many, and made a great batch of chicken and dump-lins.

Survivors include her step-mother, Ora Williams; children, Sandy, Gary (Lisa), and Wayne (Sue Herbert) McQueen; grandchildren, Cassondra, Matthew, Patrick, Ryan and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Tyrel and Jayden; and siblings, M’Della and Jack (Betty).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jean and Jim.
