Mary Ann Everst

April 14, 1953 — March 18, 2018

Mary Ann Everst, 64, a longtime resident of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 18, 2018. She was born on April 14, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Edmund and Clara (Piontek) Domzalski. She was a graduate of Maine East High School, class of 1971.
Mary Ann sparkled with light when she smiled, and she was always smiling. Her laughter always began with a giggle, until the tempo increased. Then it was a full-on laugh. And she did it often. She was full of warmth and generosity. She was a lover of dogs, from her 180 pound Mastiff to her 30 pound Frenchie. She loved wine and excellent cheese. She was an avid reader, always reading many books at a time. She loved music of all kinds, from rock to classical to polkas. She loved plays and was a Goodman member for years. She, herself, performed in many local plays in her earlier years. She had a beautiful singing voice.
When Mary Ann married her best friend, Jim Everst, the light that radiated from her lit up the church and she wrapped him in her everlasting love. She was his right arm, his protector and the love of his life for 35 years. Each had their own interests and ideas that they shared together as one. That will never end.
Her greatest gifts were her daughters, Heather and Michelle. She guarded them like a mother bear and spent her waking hours intent on their well-being and happiness. And her heart, that was so completely full of love, grew even more so when her granddaughter, Autumn Rose, came into her life. She will always be here with us as part of Heather, Michelle, and Autumn.
She was the loving sister of Ed Domzalski (dec.), Pat Solans, and Rick Domzalski. She was a fabulous Aunt to her nephews and a friend to many.
Flowers bloomed when Mary Ann walked by. Deer lounged under the big trees in the front yard, and turkeys raced through the backyard. She loved nature with all its animals and plants. As an example, she would never kill a bug in the house, she would gently place it outside.
She always enjoyed working, in addition to running the homestead. She had a strong work ethic and dedication to her husband’s business, and worked at a law firm for the last 20 years.
Mary Ann was dynamic. All the warmth that flowed through her in life is still here, still part of all that we are. Her energy has not died. All of her energy, every vibration, every bit of heat, every wave of every particle that was Mary Ann remains with us in this world.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 9 AM until the 12 Noon service at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment private.
