Mary Ann Louise (Rasumussen) Johnson

Mary Ann Louise (Rasmussen) Johnson, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 24, 2023. She was born February 7, 1933 in Oak Park, IL, the daughter of the late John and Edna Rainsford.

Mary Ann was a graduate from Woodstock High School and lived in Woodstock and Crystal Lake.   She was a Substance Abuse Counselor for many years before retiring.

On May 10, 2008, Mary Ann married Jim Johnson.  They travelled to many countries together and enjoyed spending time in Kona, Hawaii, where they owned a home.

Mary Ann loved playing cards, mainly Pinochle with her friends and everyone who knew her loved her contagious laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim; and her sons, David Allen (as infant) and Daniel Edward Rasmussen.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Wayne Rasmussen; her cousins, Frederick (Judith) Schmidt, Richard (Cynthia) Schmidt, Susan (Jim) Villie, Karen (Art) Yzaguirre and Timothy Hawkinson; three longtime caregivers, Albina, Mirela and Antonina; her faithful puppy, Elizabeth; and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, from 10am until a service at 12noon at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.   Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Union Cemetery.
