Marzetta Cahill

Marzetta R. Cahill,IL, 90, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully Sunday October 19, 2014. She was born August 12, 1924 to Henry and Dora Forbeck in Princeton, IL.
Marzetta graduated Princeton High School and then moved to Chicago, IL, where she met Bernard Cahill. On November 11, 1944 they were married. They lived most of their married life in Mt. Prospect, IL. Marzetta was president of the Mt Prospect Jr. Women’s club, a member of the bridge club, Mt Prospect golf club, and an active member of St. Raymonds Catholic Church. After 20 plus years in Mt Prospect they retired to Green Valley, Arizona in 1984. Bernie and Marzetta returned to the Crystal Lake area in 2000 to be closer to their daughter, Teresa. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2005.
Marzetta is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Thomas) Page, of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Jeffry (Melissa), and Matthew (fiancé Ashley); and great-grandchildren, Caitilin and Ashlin.
Visitation will be held from 11am until the time of funeral mass at 1pm with a luncheon to follow at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 507 E. Orange St, West Branch, IA. After the luncheon, there will be a procession to St. Bridget’s Cemetery for a graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association,1111 S. Alpine Rd, Ste 307, Rockford, IL 61108, in Marzetta’s name to honor her late husband.
