Matthew David Grey

Matthew David Grey, 39, of Wauconda, was born August 27, 1978 in Woodstock to Thomas and Nancy (nee Weber) Grey. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Harvard.

He was employed by the High School District 211 at Schaumburg since fall of 2013, which he adored. He graduated from Woodstock High School in 1997. Matt also attended Lincoln Technical Institute and graduated at the top of his class in 2007. He was always happy to be surrounded by his family and friends. Matt enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and home improvement projects. Matt will always be remembered as a wonderful and caring friend, willing to help out no matter what! Matt was the world's best dad to Alexzander and the most loving husband and brother to those that knew him. We will forever keep you in our hearts, Matt-Matt.

He is survived by his wife, Kristine (nee Ryba) Grey; his son, Alexzander Grey; his sister, Elizabeth (Adam) Hogan; and his nieces and nephews, Camryn, Connor, and Clayton.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family will be receiving guests from 3-8pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A funeral service will be held 11 am, Monday, October 2, 2017. Burial immediately to follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park in Crystal Lake.
