Matthew Moran

Inverness, Illinois,Born Jan. 11, 1939 in Chicago, he passed away peacefully Monday March 28, at his home in Inverness. He was the beloved husband of Rita M. (nee Reed), whom he married in Chicago on Oct. 1, 1960 loving father of Matt (Deanna) Moran, Mary (Victor) Katis, Terry (Carolyn) Moran, Maureen (Mark Evans) Moran , and Patrick (Staci) Moran, adored "Pops" of Megan, Seamus, Daniel, Kelly, Sean, Bridget, Victor, Jimmy, Shannon, Riley, and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Veronica (nee Ruddy) Moran, and his father and mother in-law Joe and Genevieve Reed. Matthew was an Alumni of Leo High School and Loyola University in Chicago. He was a lifelong Democrat and a member of the St. Anne?s Community for the past 26 years. Matthew enjoyed gardening and history but especially spending time with his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. Friday April 1, 2011 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street (Corner of Franklin and Ela St.) Barrington, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will be private.
