Melissa A. Fosco

Melissa A. Fosco (nee Woznicki), age 50, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 14, 1973 to the late Al Brown and Mary Woznicki. 

Melissa was a devoted and loving mother to her cherished children, Lola and David. 

Melissa is survived by her siblings, Cindy (late Robert Sr.) Olsen, Christine “Chris” Woznicki, Alice “Elke” (Ron) Kadzielawski, Bobbie (Dave) Daciolas, and Adam “Pepe" (Liz) Woznicki. She was a fond aunt, great aunt and godmother to many nieces and nephews, especially Robert “Bobby” Olsen Jr. 

Known for her humor, articulate nature and stubborn streak, Melissa brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around her. She was renowned for her love of animals, often bringing home strays in need of care.

Melissa had a knack for fixing things, always finding a way to mend what was broken. Her laughter was contagious; often times she would laugh until she cried.

Above all, Melissa’s greatest passion was her children, whom she loved deeply and prioritized above all else. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 

Melissa’s warmth, love and laughter will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 3 PM until 9 PM, with a memorial service at 7 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, 60047. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to PAWS Chicago 1933 North Marcey Street, Chicago, Illinois 60614.
