Michael Davis

Michael W. Davis, 69, of Lakewood passed away December 10, 2014. He was born October 29, 1945 in Berkeley, CA to Harold and Elizabeth (Peterson) Davis.
Mike attended the University of Nevada, Reno and was self-employed. He loved RVing and chatting with friends, relatives, and anyone he chanced upon during his daily errands.
He was a loving husband to Connie Sheley. They were married on June 26, 2004 in Arvada, CO.
Besides his wife, Mike is survived by his sister, Diane Heaton of CA; daughter, Diana Lynn Davis; Step-children, Robert Thompson, Kimberly Thompson, Laura (Steve) Wright of Crystal Lake, Julie (Daniel) Ferraro of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Denise (James) Cable of Delmar, CA; and grandchildren, Taylor (David) DeStefano, Karlene Ferraro, Cheney Wright, Kellie Cable, Madison Ferraro, Mitchell Wright, Jessica Cable, Kyle Ferraro, and Nicholas Cable.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Horseman.
Visitation for Mike will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 11am until the time of funeral service at 2pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176), Crystal Lake. Rev. Larry Tieman will officiate. Mike will be laid to rest at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mike’s name can be made to The Salvation Army, 290 Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
