Michael Guzy

Michael Scott Guzy, 27, of Barrington was killed in an auto accident on July 19, 2015 in San Diego, CA. He was born April 1, 1988 to Brian and Terri (nee Beleslin) Guzy in Arlington Heights.
He graduated from Barrington High School in 2006. He attended Northern Illinois University and was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. Mike joined the Marine Corps Intelligence Division in 2010.
Mike’s wonderful sense of humor and lighthearted attitude will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his parents; his sister, Kathleen Guzy; grandparents, Dee Guzy, and George and Carol Beleslin; and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Michael Guzy.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, July 23rd, from 3-8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington.
Funeral Mass will take place Monday, July 27, at 11 am with a visitation starting at 10 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St (not Ela Rd), Barrington. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
