Michael Lee Nelsen

Michael Lee Nelsen, 61, a longtime resident of Barrington, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2021 at Journey Care in Barrington. He was born on March 26, 1960 in Chicago to Harold and Evelyn Nelsen.

Michael enjoyed photography, traveling, spending time with friends & family, and working hard with his colleagues to develop the business he loved at Griffith Foods.

Michael will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carri; his children, Megan (Colin) Lackey, Taylor (Cori Abood) Nelsen and Mikayla Nelsen; grandchildren, Ava, Maddie and Michael Lackey; and brother, Glenn (Collene) Nelsen.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Harold and Evelyn, and his brother David (Carol) Nelsen.

A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Francesca's Famiglia in Barrington, IL.
