Michael Neville

Mike was born February 5, 1966 in Chicago, IL. He passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2016 in Woodstock, IL.

He was a devoted husband to Anita and caring father to Amanda, Michael, and Josephine. Michael was also a proud IBEW Local #134 member and was employed by Continental Electric. He was known for his hard work, dedication to his craft as an electrician, and always making his workday fun. He had undying loyalty to his friends, and many consider him a brother. All who knew him will dearly miss his love for music, all sports, especially hockey, the outdoors, his garden, his ability to fix just about anything, his neighborly ways, and his cooking; but most importantly they will miss his love for life.

Mike is survived by his wife of 21 years, Anita (nee Wagner); children, Amanda, Michael, and Josephine; mother, Dora (late Lester) Rutshaw; sisters, Marie (Brian) Devlin, and Laura Neville; brother in law, Scott (Bridget) Wagner; nieces and nephews, Danielle and Patrick Devlin, and Howard, Thomas, and Scott Wagner; and mother in law, Diane Olsen. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald.

Visitation will be 4-9pm, Tuesday, March 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake.

Prayers will be said at 10:15am, Wednesday, March 9 at the funeral home, followed by a procession to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, for 11:00am funeral mass. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Michael’s children for their future education.
