Michael Steven Patte, 45, of Crystal Lake, passed away unexpectedly March 19, 2021.
He was born May 31, 1975 in Chicago, the son of Dr. Robert and Kathleen (Altieri) Patte.
Mike was the loving husband of Toni (nee Schevers); dear brother of Christine (Eric) Schmitt; cherished uncle of Bobby and Bennett Schmitt; beloved son-in-law of Jim and Maria Schevers; brother-in-law of Jim Schevers; loving father of his canine companion, Kenai; and cherished family member of many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Patte.
Mike attended St. Thomas the Apostle School and graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School. He then went on to get a bachelor’s degree at Eastern Illinois University. After some time spent in the business world, he became a member of the Ceramic Tile Union Local 21 where he took his apprenticeship and became a Tile Finisher. He later became self-employed in the tiling business. Mike always found a way to bring his passion for design into his tile work, and took such pride in what he created. Mike loved many things in life – including Chicago sports (Blackhawks and Cubs!), fishing, music, the outdoors, family, and of course, spending time having fun with the many people in his life who loved being with him. Mike was famous for his party shirts and his award-winning barbeque. He and Toni had some amazing adventures together, and always took time to enjoy their home along with their dog Kenai.
