Michael Stobart

The Mass of Christian Burial for Michael S. Stobart, 65, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 6, at St. Anne Church, 120 N. Ela St. (not Ela Rd.), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. The celebrant will be Rev. John W. Dewes. Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum, Palatine.

Born March 16, 1949, in Chicago to the late Kenneth and Florence (nee Carso) Stobart, he married Carla McNeal on October 15, 1972.

Michael was a co-owner of K&M Printing in Schaumburg, for 40 years, with his two brothers. He loved spending time with his family—especially his grandson, “Charlie Boy”—and was a great family man. Michael enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, horse racing, and watching baseball.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Carla; children, Kelly Diane Stobart, Dawn (Eric) Stobart Gebuhr, Michael Stobart, and Ryan Stobart; grandson, Charles Michael Gebuhr; siblings, Kenneth (Karen) Stobart, Elaine (Terry) Watkiss, and Richard (Ann) Stobart; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Arendarczyk; and nephew, Kenneth Paul Stobart.
