Michael Vanderheyden

Michael “Mike” David Vanderheyden, 61, of Deer Park, passed away, Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Des Plaines, Illinois.

He was born on July 14, 1952, to Robert and Betty Vanderheyden in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Mike was a financial manager at Kraft Foods for over 30 years, having retired at 56. He enjoyed his retirement traveling with his wife to Italy, Panama, the Virgin Islands, the Blue Ridge Mountains, Seattle, Vancouver and even Wichita, KS to visit his daughter and son-in-law. He will be dearly missed.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Susan Vanderheyden (nee Lundgren); children, Holly (Jordan) Krahn and Sean Vanderheyden; mother, Betty Vanderheyden; father-in-law, James Lundgren; mother-in-law, Mary Dahl; brother-in-law, Steven (Penny) Lundgren; sister-in-law, Kathy (Keith) Boeger, Mary Lee Leikness and Mark (Heather) Dahl.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Vanderheyden and his father-in-law, Allan Dahl.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010.
