Michael A. Zychowski

Michael A. “Cowboy” Zychowski, 61, of McHenry, formerly Crystal Lake passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at his home. Mike was born July 1, 1957 in Chicago and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was an avid gun enthusiast and outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and boating and was always ready for any new adventure. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and cooking for his family and friends, often being known to say “I think I’ve outdone myself this time!” Mike loved animals, especially horses and dogs.

He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Beloved dad of Jennifer (Thomas Neff), Michelle (David Bailey) and Lisa Zychowski; loving Papa and DziaDzia of Ryder, Jaxon, Riley and Dylan; cherished son of the late Edward and Loretta (nee Botko); kind brother of Jimmy, Joanne, Patti and Sharon; caring mother of his children Sally Welch and faithful companion Blue.

Visitation 1:00p.m. until time of service 5:00p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St, Barrington. Following services, cremation and inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private.
