Mildred Roman, age 87, of Crystal Lake, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014.
For a number of years, Mildred was a Special Ed bus aide in Palatine and continued her work after moving to Crystal Lake. She was very proud of the work she accomplished as a bus aide and also volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Store in Crystal Lake.
Mildred is survived by her children, Nancy (David) Neumann, Marcia (Jim) Grab, Cary (Charlie) Allen, and Shawna (Ken) Anderson; grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Jamie, Brandon, Samantha, Codie, Allie, Connor, and Cade; great-grandchildren, Matthew, John, Melody, Alyssa, Malena, and AJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ben; brothers, Robert and John; and sister, Helen.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Historic Campus, 178 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake, 60014.
