Millicent M. Homola, 96, of Crystal Lake, died September 9, 2014, at the Crystal Pines Health Center.
She was born on March 27, 1918 in Chicago to John and Antoinette (nee Soukup) Pernicka.
Millicent devoted her life to volunteering at hospitals and charities. She blessed us all with her blue eyes and unending smile.
She is survived by her children, Janet (Richard) Laube, Karen (Steven) Geraghty, Paul (Maria) Homola; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geraldine Homola; and her nieces, Nancy (Pernicka) Prasil and Carole (Kovanda) Comperda.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer P. Homola.
Visitation will be held from 4-8p.m., Friday, September 12, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
A second visitation will continue from 10a.m., until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m., Saturday, September 13, at Mater Christi Catholic Church, 2431 South 10th Ave, North Riverside, IL, 60546-1120.
Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside following the mass.
