Mitchell Alan Kremer, 54, of Crystal Lake, passed away, November 13, 2012, in Barrington.
Memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin, 38W830 Highland Ave., Elgin, IL with a reception to follow the service at the church.
He was born on June 14, 1958, to John and Andrea (nee Zehren) Kremer, in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
Mitch spent his career advocating for people with disabilities and youth in foster care. Most recently he was the Resource Manager for the Center for Child Welfare & Education at NIU.
Mitch had many interests including photography, gardening, music and travel. He was a loving husband and father who supported his children in all their endeavors. Family and friends always came first in Mitch’s life.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Kremer (nee Beno) of 25 years, whom he married on August 8, 1987; son, Austin Kremer; daughter, Taylor Kremer; sisters, Michelle Zellner, Pam (Larry) Kremer-Kubale, Christy (Jack) Dittmar, Laura Kelly and Joanna (Del) Vaughn; brother, John (Karen) Kremer; parents-in-law, Gene and Mary Beno; sister-in-law, Jane (Gary) Nelson; and brothers-in-law, Jim and David Beno; many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Cyndy Beno.
