Mona Arend, 60, of Crystal Lake passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born July 1, 1956 to Douglas and Rita (nee Roemer) Arend in Cincinnati, OH.
Mona spent her life working with children. She also cherished her dogs and spending time with her friends. She truly had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
Mona is survived by her mother, Rita Arend; brother, Ronald Arend; and sister, Kathy Arend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Arend, and her sister, Pamela.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, December 23, from 5 pm until the time of a funeral service at 7 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake.
