Mrs. Lyle Corson

Barrington, Illinois,The memorial service for Mrs. Lyle R. Corson, nee Randle, 83, will be private. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 11, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Born May 5, 1927, in Montclair, NJ, she passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010, at her home. She volunteered at Good Shepherd Hospital for over 35 years and various other Barrington community organizations including Welcome Wagon, and the PTA for which she received recognition by the 96th General Assembly of the State of Illinois. Mrs. Corson enjoyed golf, bridge, and bowling. She also loved spending time at her second home on Apple Canyon Lake since 1970. Survivors include her children, Scott of Ponca City, OK, Thomas (Linda) of Clive, IA, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Pattee of Palatine and James (Margaret) of North Barrington; grandchildren, Anthony (Rebecca) and Meghan Corson, Niccole (James) Fairbanks, and Emily and Daniel Pattee; and sister, Patti (Thomas) Steele. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Jerry in 2003; parents, Thomas and Iris (nee Ramsay) Randle; and sister, Eleanor (Ken) Smith.
