Nancy Ann Benigni

Nancy Ann Benigni, 77, of Lake Zurich, was called home to Jesus on Thursday, September 23, 2021.  She was born on November 17, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Joyce Collins.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George; beloved children, Michelle (Fred) Segoviano, Joseph (Julie) Benigni, Charles (Leslie) Benigni, Patricia (Matt) Renz, Renee (Kevin) Markech; adoring grandchildren, Bryor (Debra), Joey, Ashley, Josh, Michael (Gabriella), Anthony, Jacob, Stephanie, Nicole, Isabella, Hallie, Samantha, Charlie, Jessica, Avery, Josiah and Emerson; her cherished sister, Patricia Joy Vujica; caring sister-in-law, Alice (Bernie) Schank; and doting nephews and niece, Michael, Billy and Jenny.

Nancy devoted 40 years to working at Lutheran General Hospital, where everybody knew her voice and she was adored by so many.  Nancy enjoyed retirement, which allowed her to do things that really meant the most to her.  She loved traveling with her children and grandchildren, playing card and board games, and cooking her signature delights for all to enjoy, but most of all her greatest joy in life was her deep reverence and love for Jesus.  Through Nancy we are inspired to follow Jesus and appreciate God’s plan always being the best plan.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 28, from 4-8pm with a tribute beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich.
