Nancy L. Smith

Nancy L. Smith, 88, of McHenry passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Hot Springs Village, AR. She was born on May 10, 1936, in South Bend, IN. She moved to Cary, IL with her children in 1968 and resided there for 48 years before moving to McHenry. She and her husband of 67 years, Don, spent 20 years in Florida during the winter months. 

She leaves behind her children, Diane (Steve) Bishop, Jim Smith, and Scott (Leah) Smith; grandchildren, Shannon (Paul) Dzien, Randy (Karla) Bishop, Bryan (Melanie) Bishop, Tyler Smith, Cameron Helmer, Taryn (Sam) Kay; and great grandchildren, Daniel, Alyssa, Lucas, Eva, Finley, and Higgins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her son, Steve; along with her parents, brother, and two sisters.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, from 9am until a funeral service at 10am at the Cary United Methodist Church, 500 N. First St., Cary. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park.
