Nancy L. Peterson

Nancy Lou Peterson passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022, at the age of 77.

Early in her career, Nancy was a devoted teacher in Chicago.  She then enjoyed her position as a supervisor at the DMV in Woodstock for many years.  An avid animal lover, Nancy was a mom to many cats and dogs.  She thoroughly loved her life and even towards the end kept saying how truly blessed she had been.

She was preceded in death by her parents, F. Glenn and Frances Peterson, proud farmers on Barreville Rd. in Prairie Grove; brother, Frank Peterson; grandparents, Frank and Agnes Peterson; and aunts, Mabel (John) Wandell and Florence Peterson.

Nancy leaves behind many friends at Bethany Lutheran Church who were like family to her.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 10am until the time of a service at 11am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake. A luncheon will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s request was to have memorials made out to Bethany Lutheran Church or a no-kill animal shelter of your choice.
