Nancy Joan (Langelund) Sedin

The funeral Mass for Nancy Joan Sedin (nee Langelund), age 77, of Grayslake, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031, where the family will be receiving guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Interment will be private at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.

Nancy was born September 9, 1940 in Chicago and passed away peacefully June 10, 2018 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

For 64 years, Nancy was a member of St. Hilary’s parish in Chicago.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth W. Sedin, whom she married June 17, 1961 at St. Hilary’s church in Chicago; children, Janet (Patrick) O’Malley, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Sedin, Susan (Andrew) Thiel, and Katherine Sedin; grandchildren, Brian and Molly Sedin and Theresa and Alex Thiel; her sister, Patricia Funk; sisters-in-law, Barbara Langelund, Marie (Jon) Brannan and Pam (Tony) Romano; brother-in-law, Rick (Nance) Sedin; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Theresa (nee Deering) Langelund; brothers, Robert and John “Jack” Langelund; and brother-in-law, George Funk.
