Neil P. Carey

Neil P. Carey, of Barrington passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022 at the age of 89.

He was born April 27, 1932 in Chicago, the son of the late Cornelius and Elizabeth (nee Schenk) Carey.

Neil was raised in Chicago, IL, went to Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, and through the years Neil lived and enjoyed many friendships in Addison, IL, Lake Geneva, WI, Boca Raton, FL, Oak Brook, IL, Scottsdale, AZ, and lastly settling in Lake Geneva, WI and Barrington, IL.

Neil is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Jeff) Tapia; his grandchildren, Patrick and Jack Carey, Lauren and Kyle Tapia; and his daughter-in-law, Diana Jennings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annamae (nee Slattery) Carey; his sons, Kevin and Brian Carey; and his brother, Michael Carey.

The funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010. Burial will be held privately.
