Nicholas Thomas Bottis

January 8, 1957 — July 4, 2020

Davenport, Lake Zurich

Nicholas Thomas Bottis, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 4, 2020 with his loving family by his side.

Nick was born in Chicago, IL on January 8, 1957. He graduated from Elmhurst College with a bachelor's degree in engineering. Nick worked as an independent representative for AL&W before starting his own company in 2002. He loved working with his hands; he spent countless hours outside perfecting the landscaping, taking care of various home improvement projects, or rebuilding the engine in his Camaro. There wasn’t one thing that Nick couldn’t fix. More than anything, Nick loved spending time with his family.

He adored Rosanna and lived for the beautiful trips that they would go on together. He took pride in teaching his children how to play various sports and would never miss any of their games. He had a very sarcastic sense of humor and always enjoyed joking around with his daughter and best friend, Andrea. Nick always looked forward to chasing around his grandson, Ronnie. They would spend entire afternoons running up and down the soccer field behind the house with his dog, Vazzo. Although Giovanna was born only a short time ago, Nick was so happy and grateful when he finally got the chance to hold her. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Rosanna Spatola; loving children, Andrea Bottis, Daniella (Trevor) O’Brien, and Nicholas Adam; grandchildren, Ron and Giovanna O’Brien; sisters, Kathy (Brian) Krapec and Toni (Larry) Palmisano; nieces, Jennifer (Tyler) Tielbur, Jaime (Justin) Krapec, Alexandra Palmisano; nephew, Thomas Palmisano; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jennie Bottis.
